Digital Membership Cards for Cricket Clubs
A cricket club runs two clubs in one: a summer of fixtures, colts and Saturday teas, and a winter of indoor nets and a quiet bar. Membership has to cover both, and the plastic card printed in April is long gone by the time the nets start in January. The April problem

The off-season is where a digital card quietly proves itself. Indoor nets are usually run from a hired sports hall with a volunteer at the door checking who's paid for the block. A card that scans answers that question instantly, and because the card is on a phone rather than in a drawer at home, players actually have it with them in February.

Volunteer-proof, which is the real test
Cricket clubs are run by people doing three jobs each. Any system that needs training won't be used in July. - Tidy the membership list into a CSV — names, emails, category.
- Build a card per category with the club badge.
- Send the cards with the subs confirmation in March, so paying and receiving are one event.
